Following the prohibition of BGMI, the Indian esports community experienced a temporary decline, with Valorant standing out as the current frontrunner. Amidst this scenario, various organizations have undergone changes, with some releasing existing rosters and others introducing new ones. However, the uncertainty looms regarding the exact reinstatement date for BGMI. In a strategic move within the esports realm, Revenant Esports has enlisted the expertise of two renowned mobile esports professionals – Deepak โSENSEIโ Negi and Harshit โMJโ Mahajan.
Renowned as a leading esports organization in India, Revenant Esports maintains rosters across diverse gaming titles, including BGMI, Valorant, Pokemon Unite, Brawl Stars, Call of Duty Mobile, and more. Notably, Revenant has recently forged a partnership with Zee5, unveiling their esports journeys through the E-Gaming Unplugged series.
BGMI Sensei and MJ Joins Revenant Esports
Both players are well known for their roles in playing PUBG Mobile or BGMI. Sensei had earlier played for Team XO and led his team to secure the third spot in the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2021. His team XO had become champions in several events like Upthrust Esports India Rising 2022, Skyesports Grand Slam 2022, WD Black Cup: Season 2 etc.
MJ, on the other hand, is a veteran having started his career in PUBG Mobile esports back in 2019. He even represented the country at the PUBG Mobile World League (PMWL) 2020. Most recently, he played for Nigma Galaxy where he earned victories in the Pro Warrier Cup S2 and the Rooter Invitational Series.
Rohit Jagasia, Founder and CEO of Revenant Esports, said,
โWe are always on the lookout for talented athletes to onboard as a part of our vision to become the go-to destination for casual and pro gamers. MJ and SENSEI are two of the most decorated mobile gaming players with a large fanbase who have displayed a level of long commitment in their careers. We are honoured to have them be a part of Revenant Esports where we can support them to grow even further.โ
Commenting on his new challenge in Revenant Esports, SENSEI said,
โI couldnโt be more excited to be a part of Revenant Esports. The organization has been growing leaps and folds since its inception and the level of support they can offer me is everything I need to grow as an athlete.
Joining Revenant Esports, MJ stated,
โIndiaโs mobile gaming industry is growing rapidly and I needed an organization which not only supported me but also offered me the opportunity to grow with other veterans in the scene like SENSEI. Revenant is the perfect place for me and I am so excited to be a part of the pack.โ
The organization has not revealed which title these players are joining. Given the player’s prior experience of playing BGMI, it is expected that they are joining BGMI which is not official. But, as of now, Krafton is not allowing streaming BGMI tournaments and has not revealed any official confirmation on the game. Hence, they might be joining Revenant’s New State Mobile Roster.
