Jet Skyesports has unveiled a brand-new competition, the Skyesports Champions Series (SCS), with a focus on BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India) for its fourth edition. This marks a strategic decision by the organizers to showcase India’s beloved battle royale title, BGMI, in the tournament. Notably, the prize pool for this event is the highest ever since the game’s relaunch, standing at Rs 25 lakhs.

BGMI made a triumphant return to India after a ban lasting over 305 days, and tournament organizers are quick to capitalize on the resurgence by announcing new competitions. Krafton, the game’s developer, recently hosted the launch party titled “BGMI Rising,” featuring a substantial Rs 10 lakhs prize pool and participation from influencers nationwide. Team Rebel emerged victorious in the tournament, with Team Jonathan securing the runner-up position.

Skyesports Champions Series SCS BGMI Returns in 2023 with Huge Prize Pool

The Tournament is set to take place in three stages, namely, Quarter Finals, Semi-finals and Grand Finals. The quarter-finals feature 18 invited teams and are set to take place from 7-8 June. The top six teams from the Quarterfinals are said to be qualified for the Semi-Finals where they will be joining 18 other invited teams fighting on the battlegrounds.

The Semi-Finals are set to take place from 9-13 June with 24 teams which are divided into three groups of 8 teams each. The 5-day semi-finals will follow a round-robin format and the top 16 teams will make it to the last stage i.e., Grand Finals which are scheduled to run from 14-18 June.

The quarter-finals of the event are concluded and here are the qualified teams for the Semi-finals.

As mentioned earlier, the Semi-Finals are set to begin from today i.e., 9 June 2023 and you can see the match schedule below:

Skyesports Champions Series BGMI is the major tournament since the game’s unban and there is a huge prize pool at stake for all the participants. This is the fourth edition of Skyesports Champions Series and the top two teams of this event will earn a slot at the Fifth editions’ Grand Finals directly.

Prize Pool Breakdown

The event is announced with a massive prize pool of Rs 25 Lakhs and is distributed among the teams as below:

  • 1st place: Rs 12 Lakhs
  • 2nd place: Rs 6 lakhs
  • 3rd place: Rs 3 lakhs
  • 4th place: Rs 1.5 lakhs
  • 5th place: Rs 75000
  • 6th place: Rs 50000
  • 7th place: Rs 30000
  • 8th place: Rs 20000

The tournament will be live-streamed on the Skyesports YouTube channel. Six matches will take place each day from 1 PM IST onwards.
