Today, Garena took to their social media platforms to reveal the triumphant victors of the Free Fire Esports Awards 2021. The year 2021 has proven to be a monumental one for Free Fire, marked by numerous achievements and the establishment of new records across various categories.

Over the past two years, the growth of Free Fire Esports has been remarkable, with 2021 standing out as an exceptionally outstanding year for the game. Esports has emerged as a pivotal component of Free Fire’s identity, and despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the developers successfully orchestrated numerous tournaments, both in the online and offline spheres.

Free Fire has captured the interest of audiences in diverse countries, witnessing an unprecedented surge in its esports scene. This growth has even attracted major brands like TSM FTX to join its competitive circuit. The pinnacle of Free Fire’s competitive calendar, the Free Fire World Series 2021 in Singapore, set a groundbreaking record in terms of viewership.

Just days before the dawn of the new year, Garena orchestrated a community voting session for its Esports awards. In an official statement introducing the community voting initiative, the company expressed its gratitude to fans for the unwavering love and support extended throughout the year 2021. Furthermore, they acknowledged the invaluable contributions of numerous players, content creators, casters, and various individuals who played pivotal roles in making the year 2021 truly special for them.

There were 10 different categories for fans to vote on. But today, the devs had only unveiled the names of the best team and best players who had won via community voting. Here are the winners of those respective awards:

  • Best Team of the Year: Total Gaming Esports
  • Player of the Year: Mafia
  • Captain of the Year: Fozy Ajay
  • Fragger of the Year: Delete
  • Sniper of the Year: Mafia

Most of the awards have been received by Team Total Gaming Esports. The team was owned by Ajjubhai who is the most-subscribed Free Fire YouTuber in the world.

It is one of the best and most fan-favourite teams in India and it has created multiple official tournaments. They have topped the Free Fire Pro League 2021 Summer, TEC Invitational Season 2, and Free Fire India Championship 2020 Fall.
