Playground Games has announced the latest update for Forza Horizon 5, titled Horizon Cars & Coffee. This new series introduces the Coffee Shop, a brand-new Evolving World Location that promises to be a popular destination for solo and group photo opportunities. In addition to its picturesque locations, the Coffee Shop will host a nightly drone show, bringing a lively aspect to the game’s immersive environment.
The update was launched on July 16. Here is what has been announced for the new update of Forza Horizon 5.
Forza Horizon 5 – Horizon Cars and Coffee Highlights
New Collectibles and Rewards:
- The Coffee Shop will feature fresh offerings such as the Coffee Cup outfit, which will be accessible as an unlocked prize during the Festival Playlist’s first week.
- Reward Cars for this series include the 2017 Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Coupé, 2021 Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae, 1976 Volkswagen SP-2, 2022 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF, and the 1973 Volkswagen Thing.
JDM Jewels Car Pack:
- This update adds the JDM Jewels Car Pack, which includes Japan-exclusive automobiles now accessible in Forza Horizon 5. The pack consists of the 1993 Autozam AZ-1, 1997 Mitsubishi Montero Evolution, 1997 Nissan Stagea RS Four V, and 1991 Toyota Sera.
EventLab Enhancements:
- New props and decorations inspired by the Coffee Shop will be accessible to EventLab makers, allowing users to create their own custom racing courses and rest areas.
Performance and Stability Improvements:
- General performance and stability fixes have been implemented.
- Specific automobile updates include repairing the back logo on the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, fixing the dark matte textures on the 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse, and guaranteeing appropriate side mirror display on all three Time Machines. Additionally, a problem with the 1992 Jeep Wrangler Sahara ‘Jurassic Park’ wheels clipping after significant jumps has been fixed.

- The Coffee Shop is decorated with murals and artwork and has a drive-through area ideal for picture ops.
- Inside, a photo studio with elegant lighting provides a crisp white background for automotive shots.
- Three platforms around the Coffee Shop provide beautiful locations for group photos, including historic murals and natural landscapes.
Drone Show:
- A new drone show at night will incorporate drones forming objects like a coffee cup, a vehicle wheel, and the series logo, giving unique photo ops.
New Props for EventLab:
The update contains additional elements such as ramps, platforms, obstacles, and murals, allowing users to build their own experiences within the game.
Festival Playlist Reward Cars:
- 2017 Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Coupé: Earn 80 points during the Cars & Coffee Festival Playlist.
- 2021 Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae: Part of a limited production series, featuring a powerful V12 engine.
- 1976 Volkswagen SP-2: Available from July 25 to August 1.
- 2022 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF: Available from August 1 to August 8.
- 1973 Volkswagen Thing: Available from July 11 to July 15.
