PUBG Mobile World Cup 2024 started off on July 19 with 28 participating teams from worldwide. The tournament features a hefty prize pool of $3 Million USD spread across three different phases. PUBG Mobile Esports World Cup 2024 is taking place in Riyadh Soudi, Saudi Arabia.
This tournament was part of the Esports World Cup 2024 which also hosts tournaments related to other major titles like LoL, Overwatch 2, and many more. Here is all you need to know about the PUBG Mobile World Cup 2024.
PUBG Mobile World Cup 2024: Tournament Format and Schedule
The tournament will be divided into three stages: Group Stage, Survival Stage, and Main Tournament. Each stage will take place over a specific period with a set number of matches.
- Group Stage: Jul 19 – 21
- Survival Stage: Jul 23 – 24
- Main Tournament: Jul 26 – 28
The Group Stage will feature 24 invited teams across the world spread into three groups (View Teams and Groups Below) and 18 matches will be held in the 3-matchdays period. Each group will get to play 12 matches and the top 12 teams will qualify for the Main tournament while the bottom 12 will be moved to Survival Stage.
During the Survival Stage, the bottom 12 teams from the Group Stage will join 4 invited wildcard teams from each PMSL region. These 16 teams will battle it out in 12 matches vying for the remaining 4 slots in the main tournament. Only the top 4 will get to play in the Main tournament while the rest will be eliminated.
The Main tournament will feature 16 teams (12 from Group Stage + 4 from Survival Stage) and these teams will play a total of 18 matches in total where the top performing team will be crowned as champions.
