Assasin’s Creed Shadows, the fourteenth major instalment in the long-running series, is now delayed by three months. The earlier release date was set for November 15, 2024. Check out the new release date.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows Launch Delayed to Next Year
According to Ubisoft, Assasin’s Creed Shadowsย will now be released on February 14, 2025. The game will be released on a broad range of platforms, including Steam at launch. Additionally, preorders will be refunded and all future preorders will be granted the first expansion for free.
In a statement, Ubisoft said it needs more time “to polish and refine the experience, pushing further some of our key features.” Earlier, Ubisoft announced that AC Shadows would be available on PC via Ubisoft Connect and Epic Games, but now, it will coming to Steam too.

The announcement came after the publisher confirmed that they have cancelled press previews, scheduled to release at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show. In their statement, the company expressed regret, saying, “We apologize for the short notice and sincerely regret any disappointment this may cause for those eagerly anticipating the broadcast.”
Although Ubisoft has not disclosed the specific reasons behind this decision, multiple reports suggest that press previews for Assassinโs Creed Shadows were planned for the upcoming week.
