Bandai Namco Showcase 2024 took place on July 5 announcing updates on several upcoming games likeย Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero, Gundam Breaker 4 and Sword Art Online: Fractured DayDream.ย The surprising announcement from the showcase is about Bleach: Rebirth of Souls, a new fighting game based on the iconic Bleach anime and manga franchise.

Gundam Breaker 4
Bandai Namco announced an Open Network Testย forย Gundam Breaker 4, which will be available on Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PS5. During this test period, players can try out the multiplayer modes and get a taste of the action. Here are the details:

- North America: July 18-20, 2024
- Japan: July 19-21, 2024 (local time)
During the test, players can customize their own Gunpla creation from a selection of over 20 Mobile suits. At launch, there will be over 250 suits available in the game. Engage in three-player co-op matches with friends and other players, battling waves of custom Gunpla and giant mobile suits. Plus, for the first time in the series, you can show off your custom Gundam units in the multiplayer lobby.
Set to release on August 28, 2024, for PlayStation 4/5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
Sword Art Online: Fractured DayDream
Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream gets a familiar boost as Eiji and Yuna join the fray! Bandai Namco just dropped this exciting news at Anime Expo 2024. Recognized from Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale, these two characters will be playable fighters in the upcoming Nintendo Switch title.
In this game, a new mechanism established in the realm of Alfheim Online collapses, leading all worlds and timelines to collide. Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero
Bandai Namco Entertainment revealed a trailer for Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero during its Anime Expo panel. The new game in the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi franchise previews the character Mr. Satan, introduced by voice actor Chris Rager and producer Jun Furutani. Mr. Satan’s gameplay reflects his series lore, with limited power against stronger characters but strategic advantages for skilled players. The game, featuring 24 characters including Goku, Vegeta, and their various forms, launches on October 11 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Pre-orders offer early access to six characters and special editions provide a three-day early play option.
Bleach: Rebirth of Souls
Bandai Namco introduced Bleach: Rebirth of Souls, a new 3D fighting game based on the original story. The two-minute trailer, revealed at their panel, includes glimpses of core characters such as Ichigo, Rukia, Orihime, Ishida, and Chad, as well as Soul Society members Byakuya and Renji. The trailer features brief gameplay footage of battle, Byakuya’s Bankai, and Ichigo wearing his Hollow mask. Bandai Namco has stated that Bleach: Rebirth of Souls will be available for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam, with a release date of “coming soon.”
