TECNO Mobile, the renowned global smartphone brand, has teamed up with Skyesports, a leading esports tournament organizer in India, as the title sponsor for the Skyesports Champions Series (SCS). This thrilling 10-day tournament for Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) is poised to capture the attention of gaming enthusiasts nationwide, featuring the top-tier Indian esports teams competing for both glory and a substantial prize pool of Rs. 25,00,000.

The SCS will witness a fierce battle among fan-favourite esports teams, including notable names such as GodLike, Team Soul, Blind Esports, and more. As the most significant esports event for BGMI since its relaunch last month, the tournament holds significant importance. TECNO POVA, equipped with its impressive range of smartphones, will directly engage with Millennial gamers across the country through this high-profile gaming extravaganza.

BGMI Skyesports Champions Series Grand Finals – Meet the Sixteen Finalists

The tournament unfolded in three stages: Quarter Finals, Semi-Finals, and Grand Finals. The Quarter Finals unfolded from June 7-8, featuring 19 invited teams, with the top six advancing to the Semi-Finals. In the Semi-Finals, 18 pre-invited teams were joined by six qualified teams, competing from June 9-13 across five matchdays. The Semi-Finals adopted a round-robin format with 24 teams divided into three groups of eight teams each.

The top 16 teams from the Semi-Finals are now qualified for the Grand Finals which are set to take place from 14-18 June and here are the Finalists:

  3. Obey Esports
  4. Team iNSANE
  5. Gladiators Esports
  6. Medal Esports
  7. OR Esports
  8. Team Misfits
  9. 7 SEA Esports
  10. Revenant Esports
  11. Velocity Gaming
  12. Gods Reign
  13. Team Soul
  14. Reckoning Esports
  15. Godlike Esports
  16. Team VST

A total of 30 matches will be played in six-long-day finals on the battlegrounds.

Several teams like Orangutan Gaming, FS Esports, Velocity Gaming, Hyderabad Hydras and more who had experience playing tier-1 third-party tournaments, and official tournaments have received invites to Quarter Finals only. Orangutan Gaming’s Founder, Yash Banushali had expressed disappointment in having his team invited to the Quarter-finals only. During the Semi-finals, the team accumulated a total of 186 points and the pole position.

Fans can tune into all the nail-biting action live on the official Skyesports Loco channel from 1 PM onwards. Additionally, the top teams of the Skyesports Champions Series (SCS) BGMI will be felicitated in an award ceremony fit for champions in Bangalore on 27 August.
