BGIS Semi Finals 2021: Qualified Teams, Schedule, Format, where to watch, and more

Today marks the commencement of the BGIS Semi-Finals 2021, where 24 teams will vie for their coveted spots in the Grand Finals scheduled to take place from January 13 to January 16, 2022.

Following four days of intense action and fierce competition involving 64 teams, the field has narrowed down to the top 24 teams set to showcase their skills in the Semis. As we approach the culmination of the tournament, this stage becomes critical in determining the participants for the Grand Finals of the IQOO Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021.

Let’s delve into the teams and schedule for the BGIS Semi-Finals.

BGIS Semi Finals 2021: Qualified Teams

A total of 24 teams were qualified for the Quarter Finals. 4 Heros which had qualified to be in the top sixth place from Group 4 (Day 4) were disqualified from the tournament. They had violated the rules and as a result, they were banned. Team 4 Heros and Team PLM violate rules 3.2, 2.1.5, and 6.2.4. An unregistered player from Team Heros had played with a registered account and as a result, the qualified team was disqualified from the tournament.

Taking the place of the disqualified Team 4 Heroes, Team Soul, which occupies the top position on the leaderboard, has been granted the vacant slot. Consequently, Team Soul is reinstated into the tournament. Here is the list of all the teams set to compete in the Semi-Finals of the event.

Here is the schedule for the Day 1 of the BGIS Semi-Finals:

  1. Group A vs Group B – Erangel
  2. Group B vs Group C – Miramar
  3. Group A vs Group C – Erangel

Following the Semis, a total of 16 teams will qualify for the Grand Finals, which are scheduled to take place from Jan 13-16, 2022. The tournament is live streamed on the official BGMI YT Channel.

Today marks the conclusion of BGIS Quarter Finals Day 4, marking the end of the Quarter Finals stage. The day concluded with intense action and fierce competition among the 16 teams in Group 4, featuring a total of 6 matches to determine the slots for the next stage, the Semi-Finals.

Day 4 delivered a series of exceptional matches, showcasing some of the best teams in the PUBGM and BGMI competitive scene. These matches were filled with breathtaking moments, keeping fans on the edge of their seats.

Following the conclusion of Day 4, the top 6 teams from the leaderboard have secured their spots in the Semi-Finals of the BGMI India Series 2021. Notably, Godlike Esports dominated the day, claiming the top position without securing any chicken dinners. They exhibited exceptional performance in all matches, accumulating a total of 58 kills and 96 overall points. Tactical Esports followed closely, securing the second spot with 2 WWCDs, 33 kills, and 50 points.

The third and fourth spots were secured by 4Heros and Enigma Gaming with 82 points and 61 points respectively. It was a huge disappointment for Soul fans as the team had failed to make it to the Semi-Finals. The rest of the teams down the line were also eliminated from the tournament.

BGIS Quarter Finals Day 3 had come to an end after 16 teams from group-1 hustled for their spot in the Semi-Finals in the BGMI’s first-ever official tournament. At the end of day 3, the top 6 teams on the leaderboard had qualified for the Semi-Finals.

Post the competition of the day, Skylightz Gaming had popped onto the top of the leaderboard with 95 points and 47 elimination points. Next to them is OR Esports who had secured second place with 87 points with 46 kills. The third place was taken Orgless 5 with more than 70 points.

This group is one of the most sought-after groups as it has some top-tier teams which had so bigger fanbase and most importantly, greater professional competitive experience. As a result, several matches had become so intense and several teams had been failed to clinch their spot in the top six.

The second day of the BGIS Quarter Finals concluded successfully as 16 teams from Group 2 battled for their place in the Semi-Finals of the event. The day proved to be rewarding for the top 6 teams securing positions 1st through 6th on the leaderboard.

Reckoning Esports claimed the lead on the leaderboard with an impressive 46 kills and 100 points. Team Chicken displayed a commendable performance, securing the second spot with 18 kills and 62 points.

Closely trailing behind is Team 247 Gaming, securing the third spot with 61 points. As the day concluded, teams finishing 7th and below were eliminated from the tournament.

The Free Fire Pro League 2021 Winter stands as the latest official Indian-Nepali regional Free Fire tournament, scheduled to unfold from December 2021 to January 2022. Online qualifiers for the FFC Mode are currently open for registration, heralding the imminent arrival of the event.

This tournament was introduced with an impressive 35 lakh INR prize pool, with the triumphant team securing a substantial reward of 15 lakh INR. Additionally, the winning team, along with the top 6 teams, will earn coveted direct slots in FFIC Spring 2022. Interested participants have the opportunity to register for the tournament until December 24, 2021, 8:00 PM IST.

Free Fire Pro League 2021 Winter Format

All teams who are registered for the FFC mode online qualifiers will play a few rounds on December 24. The top 6 teams will qualify for the league stage of the tournament.

The league stage of the tournament will take place from 8 Jan 2022 to 23 Jan 2022 in which 18 teams will compete with each other. (six FFC mode qualified teams along with 12 invited teams from FFIC 2021 Fall) will take on each other in a round-robin format on Weekends(Saturday & Sunday).

The top 12 teams from the League Stage will qualify for the Finals of the event. FFPL 2021 Winter Grand Finals are set to take place on January 30, 2022.

Leaving the spawn island will cost minus 10 points per player, whereas each kill will be rewarded with a point.

As the year 2021 draws to a close, Krafton has unveiled the Esports Roadmap for 2022, outlining the upcoming plans for PUBG, a trailblazer in the realm of mobile gaming.

The South Korean gaming company has unveiled their tournament plans that were set to take place all along in the upcoming year (2022). PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021 is the final event of PUBG’s competitive scene and this will be concluded by the end of January 2022. Krafton wants to keep up the pace of its competitive scene, the organizer has revealed a glimpse of the tournaments or events that will be conducted in the year 2022.
