Godlike Esports, one of the renowned esports organizations in India, signs Former TSM IGL, Shadow to their roster before Nodwin Gaming’s BGMI Master Series Lan Event. Shadow is one of the finest BGMI players in India, and his in-game role is IGL (Leader of the team). In the upcoming Lan, BGMI Shadow will play in the Godlike roster containing star players like Jonathan, Neyoo, Zgod, and Clutchgod.

IQOO Battlegrounds Mobile India Series Season 1 had concluded in which Team Soul had emerged as the champions, OR Esports became the runner-ups. Several experienced and Professional teams like Xspark, TSM, Godlike, etc failed to qualify for BMPS S1 from BMOC Round 4 due to high competition from the underdog teams. Following the conclusion of BMPS, several organizations have started to make changes to their rosters. The latest news came from Godlike Esports, signing Ex-TSM player Shadow as their new IGL.

Shadow has been playing with Godlike Esports in several unofficial tournaments of BGMI in the name of GodlxTryouts. Several sources have reported that Shadow would join Godlike Esports, and the news came out proper after the organization itself announced its new signing. Shadow will be the new IGL for GodL while former IGL Clutchod will play as an assaulter. Here is the new announcement from Godl Instagram handle:

Shadow has been playing PUBG Mobile (Now BGMI) since 2019 and has played under renowned organizations like Marcos Gaming, Megastars, Enigma Gaming and TSM FTX. Shadow joined the TSM BGMI roster before BGIS 2021, along with Ninjajod, Aquanox, and Blaze. He is the in-game leader for the roster where other players would have to follow his calls on point to play thier game.

Shadow and his team have won several events like Nodwin x Loco All Stars Invitational Lan event, Skyesports Mobile Open 2021, and finished as the runner-ups in Battlegrounds mobile India Series 2021. After finishing the event after Skylightz Gaming, the team also failed to fly to PMGC as the team didn’t have any passports and hence didn’t get the chance to represent the country at the Global level. His current org, Godlike, had gone to PMGC 2021 from the Indian region but ended up at the thirteenth position.

Godlike Esports has not been performing well for the past several months as their IGL clutch god has been inactive due to his study issues. Many have criticized them for their downfall in the community after they failed to qualify for BMPS. With Godl Tryouts, all the players in Godl are pretty confident and earlier stated that their team was now balanced and is set to make a comeback in the forthcoming Lan event.

TSM Claims that BGMI Shadow was player-poached by GodL

Despite this announcement, TSM FTX India says  Godl has never reached out to TSM to buy/loan Shadow to their roster. Shadow was benched due to unknown issues, and TSM said they offered him that he could play as a loan player from another org in the upcoming event. But Shadow left TSM even when he is in under the contract and giving tryouts for his current org. TSM Lead Armin stated that he had reached out to Godl and Shadow to clear this matter professionally, but there was no return response.

Without any prior knowledge of TSM, Shadow was registered for BGMI master Series Lan event under another organization. This made the organization contact Krafton, but Krafton did not resolve the issue raised by TSM till date.

However, recently he was poached by an org that doesn’t want to loan/transfer agreements from TSM as esports organizations do. Replying to all this, Shadow, via his Instagram post, claimed that he was subjected to harassment, exploitation, and threats from his organization. TSM’s Official Instagram Handle had replied that this issue had been raised because “other organizations do not wish to do a loan and/or transfer agreement as a professional organization would.” Additionally, they called the ‘organization’ unprofessional for transferring Shadow for free.

Armin also stated that their organization would look after this issue professionally and mentioned that player poaching is a significant issue in Indian Esports, a major setback to the community’s growth. We can expect legal actions from TSM on Shadow as he is still in contract with the team.

On the other end, Godlike Esports is not letting the cat out of the bag and remained silent. A similar issue is also ongoing between Sayyam and insane Esports, where Sayyam claimed that he had experienced too much pressure, harassment, and Trauma by being under the organization of Insane Esports. If these issues are not solved internally, we may see professional teams fighting by law with each other.
