SuperGaming, one of Indiaโs top game development studios, has officially revealed the release date for its highly anticipated battle royale game, Indus. The game was announced in January 2022, and after multiple community playtests and beta tests, the game is finally coming to mobile. Here are more details.
Indus Battle Royale Launch Date Announced
Indus Battle Royale is slated to launch on October 16, 2024, for both Android and iOS devices. The game was announced to launch for PC, Console and Mobile, but, SuperGaming has not announced a release date for PC and console.
In addition to announcing the release date, SuperGaming has released a cinematic trailer that offers a glimpse into the intense combat that awaits players in the world of Virlok. The trailer focuses on Adi, a character who embarks on a quest to collect the rare resource Cosmium while also seeking revenge against his rival, Pokhran.
The trailer also introduces the Grudge feature, which allows players to track down and battle opponents who have defeated them in previous matches. This adds a new layer of strategy and personal stakes to the game.
One of Indus’ unique features is its dual victory condition. Players can win by either being the last survivor or by collecting Cosmium, which appears in the final circle of the game. This twist adds complexity and strategy to the traditional battle royale format.
Having spent nearly two years in its beta phase, Indus has undergone extensive testing, with feedback from players around the globe playing a key role in refining the gameโs development. During the beta phase, the game garnered over 12.5 million pre-registrations on Android alone, setting the stage for one of the largest game launches out of India this year. Notably, SuperGaming organized two esports tournaments during the beta period, boosting anticipation among fans.
