Monster Hunter Wilds, the latest action RPG from Capcom, is making waves with its much-anticipated open beta release, which went live on November 1 across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. The Steam version alone drew a massive player base, with more than 463,000 concurrent players within the first few hours, showcasing the excitement surrounding this new chapter in the Monster Hunter series. Here’s everything you need to know about the game’s PC requirements and what’s included in the beta.
What’s Included in the Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta?
The Monster Hunter Wilds beta offers an exciting lineup of activities, immersing players in the game’s story, hunts, and multiplayer options. Here’s what to expect:
- Character Creation: Players begin by creating their unique character, choosing from a variety of customization options to fit their play style.
- Story Trial Quest: The Story Trial quest introduces players to the Monster Hunter Wilds narrative with early story cutscenes and a guided tutorial through a Chatacabra hunt. The seamless integration of story and gameplay lets players experience the quest flow and core game mechanics.
- Doshaguma Hunt: The beta also features the Doshaguma Hunt quest, where players face a fierce Doshaguma. This hunt emphasizes Monster Hunter Wilds’ dynamic environment and showcases the adaptable Seikret mount, which players can use to explore the map and switch between weapons on the fly.
- Multiplayer & SOS Flare: In true Monster Hunter spirit, players can connect online for multiplayer hunts using the SOS Flare system. If additional players aren’t available, the game provides up to three NPC Support Hunters to assist, ensuring that everyone can experience the hunt fully.
- Exclusive Beta Rewards: Participating in the beta test grants players a special reward in the full game upon its release.

Monster Hunter Wilds: Deluxe and Premium Editions
Monster Hunter Wilds was announced during the Capcom Next, held in June 2024. The game will be available in three editions, namely Standard (base game), Deluxe and Premium Editions. These editions offer a variety of in-game cosmetic items and bonuses for players who pre-order or purchase the game at launch.

Monster Hunter Wilds Standard edition only includes the base game. Speaking of the Deluxe Edition priced above the standard tier, it offers several in-game cosmetics as shown in the figure below.
Monster Hunter Wilds Premium edition will offer both the base game and deluxe pack while also giving additional exclusive bonuses of Hunter Layered Armor, Premium Bonus Hunter Profile Set, Background Music (BGM). Apart from exclusive bonues, the premium edition gives additional access to the planned cosmetic DLC set to release at a later date.
These comestic DLC packs are said to come with a variety of cosmetic items, such as layered armor and pendants, providing great value for players. The first Cosmetic DLC pack is planned to release in Spring 2025 while the latter is said to release in Summer 2025.
Monster Hunter Wilds: Online, Cross-Play, and Cross-Save Details
Online Play:

Cross-Play:
