American video-streaming giant, Netflix announced that GTA Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is coming to Netflix Games to its continually expanding game portfolio and its arrival is perfectly timed for the holiday season, especially before the announcement of the GTA 6 trailer.
Three games of the most famous Grand Theft Auto series are coming to Netflix Games as part of the GTA Trilogy. GTA Trilogy includes GTA 3, GTA San Andreas, and GTA Vice City and the best part of this arrival is that they are playable at no extra cost(however you need a Netflix subscription to play its games).
GTA Trilogy is coming to Netflix Games on December 14, 2023.

Starting today, players can pre-register for these three games on iOS and Google Play. The games will be accessible within the Netflix mobile app and can also be obtained separately by Netflix subscribers through the App Store and Google Play.
The three games were released two decades ago and all of these games have mobile ports released years ago. In 2021, Rockstar Games published GTA Trilogy which includes the compilation of these three action-adventure GTA games for various platforms including mobile. However, Netflix license will make it even easier to find and play for free with a Netflix Subscription.

The addition of this latest GTA instalment from Rockstar enhances the value of Netflix memberships, incorporating one of the most iconic series in history, everything without any ads, in-app purchases, or additional fees as stated by the streaming giant.
Reports claimed that Netflix would offer the biggest games on its streaming service including titles based on its original TV shows. A report from WSJ also suggested that Netflix was in talks with Rockstar Games to bring GTA games to its platform which turns out to be true after all with the official announcement.
A report from CNBC has stated that only 1 percent of Netflix subscribers are playing its games. This new strategy of releasing titles based on TV shows and GTA games might boost the numbers and figures they hoped for.
GTA Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Andriod, iOS, Windows and Nintendo Switch. The game will be available for iOS and Android Netflix subscribers on Dec 14.
