Palworld mobile port has been officially confirmed, as developer Pocketpair has partnered with PUBG creator Krafton Inc. to bring the popular game to mobile devices. The announcement was made on October 2 through Krafton’s Korean website.
Krafton Secures Global License to Make Palworld Mobile Port
According to the translated official blogpost, Krafton plans to “faithfully reinterpret” Palworldโs “main fun elements to fit the mobile environment.” Krafton also confirmed that this mobile port will be handled by the development team of โPUBG STUDIOS,โ a creative studio under Krafton.
PUBG Studios is well-known for developing the acclaimed battle royale title for PC and its successful mobile versions. Both the PC and mobile versions have been hugely popular since their release. With the studio taking on the mobile port of this year’s Pokรฉmon-inspired game, expectations are high for another outstanding adaptation.
Dubbed ‘Pokรฉmon with guns,’ Palworld quickly became a sensation after its January release on PC and Xbox, with millions of copies sold. Recently, Pocketpair has released the game for PlayStation 5, except in Japan.
Despite facing legal challenges from The Pokรฉmon Company and Nintendo over alleged patent infringement, Pocketpair remains committed to the growth and expansion of Palworld. While the lawsuit has delayed the gameโs release in Japan, it did not prevent its launch on the PlayStation 5 elsewhere.
In the face of these obstacles, the decision to develop a mobile version of Palworld reflects the developers’ confidence in the game’s appeal and their ambition to reach an even wider audience. Partnering with Krafton, renowned for its hit mobile games like PUBG Mobile, further enhances the potential for a successful mobile port.
Neither Krafton nor PockePair has confirmed a release date for Palworld Mobile. The game is currently available on PC, Xbox and PS5 for Rs 2,415.
