As we step into the final month of the year, Sony has revealed the last PlayStation Plus lineup for December 2024, announced on Wednesday. In celebration of its 30th anniversary, the company has also introduced some exciting extras. Here’s a look at the games joining the PS Plus service this December, along with the additional bonuses.
PlayStation Plus Monthly Games For December 2024
Starting December 3, PS Plus subscribers can dive into It Takes Two, Aliens: Dark Descent, and Temtem, available to play until January 6, 2025.ย
It Takes Two (PS4, PS5)
Developed by Hazelight Studios, It Takes Two is a co-op action-adventure game designed exclusively for two players, much like the studioโs debut title, A Way Out. The game offers no single-player option, requiring players to team up either online or through local split-screen multiplayer. The game follows a couple transformed into dolls as they navigate a fantastical world, seeking to repair their relationship.
Players can also invite another person to join online co-op with them for free via Friend Pass.ย
Aliens: Dark Descent (PS4, PS5)
As the name implies, the game is set in the Alien universe and is a real-time strategy mixed with Survival horror elements. Debuted in June 2023, players have to issue commands to a squad of four Colonial Marines to combat both the relentless Xenomorphs and rogue agents from the Weyland-Yutani Corporation. The game features five starting character classes, each with its unique weapons and abilities.
Temtem (PS5)
Rounding out Decemberโs lineup is Temtem, a creature-collecting MMORPG from Spanish developer Crema, heavily inspired by the Pokemon series. Players explore the world capturing Temtem creatures and engaging in strategic double battles, whether against NPCs or other players, in a 2×2 battle format reminiscent of Pokรฉmonโs double battles.
PlayStation Plus subscribers have until December 2 to add Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 โ Turbocharged, Ghostwire: Tokyo, and Death Note: Killer Within to their game libraries.
As part of PlayStation’s 30th-anniversary celebration, PlayStation Plus Premium members can enjoy a free trial of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 starting December 3. Additionally, the classic titles Sly 2: Band of Thieves, Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves, and Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy will be added to the PlayStation Plus Premium catalog on December 10. Sony has promised more details on the full PlayStation Plus Game Catalog and Premium lineups soon.
Finally, from December 6-8, PlayStation is offering a free online multiplayer weekend. During these dates, you can enjoy online multiplayer for any games you own, without needing a PlayStation Plus membership, on both PS5 and PS4.
