PlayStation 5 Pro (PS5 Pro) has been officially announced at Sony’s Technical Representation, held on September 10. The event, hosted by Mark Cerny, the lead architect of PS5 and PS5 Pro showcased the console’s new features and improvements from its previous models. These improvements were highlighted by showing some of the enhanced gameplay of popular titles.
With improved GPU performance, advanced ray tracing, and AI-powered upscaling, the PS5 Pro is designed to eliminate the need to choose between performance and fidelity modes. It strives to deliver both simultaneously, offering a seamless gaming experience. During its reveal, we got a preview of games that will be enhanced for the PS5 Pro, showcasing higher-resolution visuals running at a smoother 60 frames per second.

The enhanced PlayStation 5 features a more powerful GPU, allowing for smoother gameplay at 60 frames per second in Fidelity mode. Advanced ray tracing technology delivers even more realistic visuals, while AI-powered PSSR upscaling improves image quality at 4K resolution. These combined improvements result in a more visually appealing and immersive gaming experience.
