The annual Summer Game Fest 2024 has concluded, leaving gamers thrilled about the future of gaming. From franchise sequels like Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 to surprising reveals like Lego Horizon Adventures, the event showcased a dynamic array of upcoming releases.
This year’s fest wasn’t just about well-known titles. Indie developers shone brightly with innovative projects like Cuffbust, a co-op prison break game, and Neva, a visually stunning 2D adventure from the creators of Gris. Horror fans were in for a treat as Blumhouse Games announced its entry into game publishing with six chilling titles.
In addition to new games, Summer Game Fest 2024 brought exciting updates for existing franchises. The highly anticipated Alan Wake 2 received its first DLC, and Dragon Ball enthusiasts celebrated the revival of the Budokai Tenkaichi series with Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero.

Lego Horizon Adventures
isometric action game featuring Aloy battling robot creatures in the post-apocalyptic world. Coming to PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Epic Games and Steam) later this year.
No More Room in Hell 2
intense action game with brutal combat, dismemberment mechanics, 8-player co-op, and a highly replayable world. Early access on Halloween 2024.
Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions
Take to the skies as you play Quidditch matches on September 3, 2024, for PC (Epic Games Store and Steam), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox.
Cuffbust
multiplayer cartoonish co-op prison break game developed by a single person. Set to release in 2025 for PC.
Star Wars Outlaws
Ubisoft’s open-world Star Wars adventure features protagonist Kay Vess encountering familiar and new faces in the galaxy. Expect more details at Ubisoft Forward on June 10th. Release on August 30th, 2024 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Neva
The team behind Gris brings you Neva, a 2D adventure game where you wield a sword. Coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Switch in 2024.
Civilization VII
The latest instalment in the historical 4X turn-based strategy series is coming to PC and consoles in 2025. More details to be revealed at a gameplay showcase in August.
Metaphor: ReFantazio
This turn-based fantasy strategy game, a spiritual successor to the Persona series, boasts a similar style and arrives on October 11th for PlayStation 4, 5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
Black Myth: Wukong
The highly anticipated game showed off its collector’s edition. Launches on PS5 and PC this August 20th, with an Xbox release to be confirmed later.

Batman: Arkham Shadow
A VR exclusive experience for the Meta Quest 3 introduces a new story with a younger Batman facing the Rat King. Tune in for the official gameplay trailer at GamesCom.
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero
The revival of the Budokai Tenkaichi series promises intense Super Saiyan gameplay with beloved characters. Coming to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S this October 11th.
Delta Force: Hawk Ops
A free-to-play co-op shooter inspired by Black Hawk Down. Features co-op multiplayer and a surprise single-player campaign. Global alpha test on PC in July 2024.
Blumhouse Games Announces Six Horror Titles
Blumhouse is entering the video game industry as a publisher with new titles like Crisol Theater of Idols and Grave Seasons coming to PC and Console.
Dune: Awakening
Funcom’s open-world survival MMO adaptation of Dune offers a deeper look at Paul Atreides’ rule. Expected to return at Gamescom in August with a release on PC (Steam), PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
Alan Wake 2: Night Springs DLC
The first Alan Wake 2 DLC, Night Springs, featuring three episodes, launched, on June 8th.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
An action RPG where you play as Henry of Skalitz seeking vengeance but facing unexpected danger. Coming later this year on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Unknown9: Awakening

Nexon’s sci-fi looter shooter featuring fast-paced exo-suit action launches on July 2, 2024, for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Innersloth unveils a new game fund and teases an upcoming Among Us animated series.
Phantom Blade Zero

- Asgard’s Wrath 2: VR is now out.
- M. Bison, Terry Bogard, Mai, and Elena are coming to Street Fighter 6 as DLC.
- Tears of Metal is a new co-op roguelike where you hack and slash your way through a medieval world. Set to release for PC (TBD).
- SNK’s Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves coming to PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X in early 2025 with new fighters.
- Battle Crush hits early access on Nintendo Switch this July 27th.

- Power Rangers go retro with Rita’s Rewind, a 2D beat ’em up for PC by Digital Eclipse (release date TBA).

- Cult classic Killer Bean blasts into early access this summer as a third-person rogue-lite shooter.
- Cairn, a climbing game by The Game Bakers, creators of Furi and Haven announced.
- Ivy Road and Annapurna Interactive announced Wanderstop.
- Enotria: The Last Song is set to launch on September 19 for PC and PlayStation 5, with a playable demo currently available for those eager to get a sneak peek.
