Xbox Games Coming to Amazon Firestick TVs: Play Games Directly on TV without Xbox Console
Xbox and Amazon have partnered to enable Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers to play games on Fire TV devices via cloud gaming using the Xbox app(set to launch in July).
Starting in July, a dedicated Xbox app will be available on select Amazon Firestick TVs, including the Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2023) and Fire TV Stick 4K (2023). This affordable and portable solution provides access to an extensive library of incredible Xbox games, including first-party titles.
All you need is a compatible Fire TV Stick, a Bluetooth controller to access the Xbox app and an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership to access cloud gaming.
How to Play Xbox Games on Amazon Firestick TV?
Here’s how to get started with the Xbox app on your Fire TV device:
- Install and Launch the Xbox App: Download and open the Xbox app from your Fire TV device. (will be available in July)
- Sign In: Use your Microsoft account to sign in. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members will instantly access hundreds of cloud-enabled games.
- If you’re not a member, you can join Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for a low monthly price (However, you can play Fortnite without a membership.)
- Connect a Controller: Use a Bluetooth-enabled wireless controller such as the Xbox Wireless Controller, Xbox Adaptive Controller, PlayStation DualSense, or DualShock 4. That’s it, you can now start playing!
